Hydrocracking represents an alternative to the recycling of abundantly available plastic waste. polyethylene in a fluidized bed, at 750 °C and 1 atm, was investigated this work. Water dissociation, through steam-iron reaction, used as source hydrogen. Bauxite olivine, containing reduced iron, were bed materials reactor drive water dissociation reaction. The hydrogen-to-carbon (H/C) ratios products compared assess hydrocracking potential. It discovered that conversion on surface bauxite effectively increased H/C products, its oxidized form.
